Chief of Staff

About the Role

Our client is a rapidly expanding Series B startup, achieving 300% year-over-year growth, seeking a Chief of Staff to partner directly with their founder. This fully remote position based anywhere in the United States involves amplifying the CEO's effectiveness and creating the operational foundation needed to guide business growth and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the development and launch of a new AI customer-service agent by coordinating closely with Product and Engineering teams, challenging the roadmap, and addressing obstacles to ensure timely adoption.
• Lead the expansion of a new revenue stream by analyzing market opportunities, outlining go-to-market strategies, and translating high-level goals into actionable plans with clear accountability and deadlines.
• Pursue partnership opportunities and conduct research essential for accelerating entry into new markets as required by the CEO.
• Support scaling efforts in sales and recruiting by managing end-to-end hiring processes, maintaining pipelines, and preparing for critical deal negotiations to secure top talent and revenue growth.
• Establish AI-enhanced business operations including dashboards, automation, and real-time reporting using large language models to allow leadership to monitor vital company metrics efficiently.
• Design and implement operational rhythms that ensure transparency and accountability for the company's key performance indicators.
• Act as a crucial support to the CEO by drafting decision memos, performing research tasks, executing cross-functional projects, preparing for important meetings, and ensuring follow-through on decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in consulting or investment banking, combined with over two years in startup operational roles.
• Comfortable with technology and product management; able to independently utilize AI tools and handle data without reliance on technical teams.
• Self-starter with high initiative who thrives in ambiguous situations, takes ownership, and prefers to act decisively even when full permissions are pending.
• Reliable and efficient; capable of moving rapidly while safeguarding critical aspects and earning trust to handle sensitive responsibilities.
