About the Role

This Chief Human Resources Officer position is available to be based in Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York City. The role demands leading the strategic direction, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide human capital initiatives within a complex, multi-entity multinational financial services organization, specializing in private equity and investment management sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply comprehensive global HR strategies that align with the company's overarching business objectives across several regions and entities.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to steer organizational transformation, talent planning, and workforce optimization initiatives.
  • Cultivate a high-performance, inclusive corporate culture focused on employee engagement, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Lead and mentor senior HR leadership to ensure coordinated efforts and operational excellence across all HR functions.
  • Design and implement scalable infrastructure supporting fast-paced growth and international development.
  • Manage global compensation frameworks to guarantee competitiveness with the market and fairness within the organization.
  • Act as a trusted consultant on complex employee relations, including conducting investigations, resolving conflicts, and minimizing risks.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and governance standards worldwide.
  • Work cooperatively with legal and compliance teams to mitigate organizational risks and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee HR technology strategies, including management of HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity, and enabling data analytics capabilities.
  • Use workforce metrics and KPIs to support strategic planning and continual process improvements.
  • Lead initiatives in leadership development, succession planning, and enhancing organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide senior leaders with insights on emerging HR trends, workforce challenges, and strategic initiatives focused on people management.
  • Represent the company externally in industry forums and contribute to thought leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree such as an MBA is highly preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressively responsible HR leadership experience including global strategic and operational roles.
  • Professional HR certifications like SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or GPHR are strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability managing HR functions across multiple countries and business divisions.
  • Experience directing organizational transformations, change management efforts, and mergers & acquisitions integrations.
  • Strong proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG, or comparable systems).
  • Data-driven approach with experience utilizing analytics to support workforce planning and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of emerging HR technologies including artificial intelligence and automation applications.
  • Exceptional presence and influence when engaging with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker, capable of translating corporate goals into effective HR actions.
  • Prior experience within regulated and complex business environments is advantageous.
  • A track record of building high-performing HR teams in a dynamic, global context.
