Job description
Overview
Our client is an established and diversified business group based in Doha, Qatar, with operations spanning several sectors. As the organisation expands and evolves, it is looking for a senior HR leader to shape the people strategy, strengthen organisational capability, and support a performance-driven culture across the group.
Role Summary
The Chief Human Resources Officer will own the group-wide human capital strategy and ensure that people priorities are closely linked to the company’s long-term business goals. This leader will have responsibility for the full HR agenda, covering organisational development, recruitment, performance, rewards and benefits, learning initiatives, employee engagement, succession planning, and day-to-day HR operations.
Key Focus Areas
In partnership with the Group CEO and the executive team, the CHRO will improve organisational effectiveness, build leadership capability, and help the business attract, develop, and retain high-calibre talent. The role also includes driving HR transformation, updating policies and systems, reinforcing governance and compliance, and encouraging a culture built on accountability, collaboration, and ongoing improvement across all business units.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring substantial executive HR leadership experience from large, diversified organisations or similarly complex multi-business environments. A strong track record in designing and delivering enterprise-wide people strategies, leading organisational change, managing talent, and developing leaders is essential. Prior exposure to the GCC region, especially Qatar, would be an advantage. The successful applicant should combine commercial awareness with excellent stakeholder management, the confidence to influence senior decisions, and the ability to shape a high-performance culture. Strategic thinking, executive presence, and the capability to lead change at scale are key to succeeding in this position.
