Job description
Role Overview
This is an opportunity to join a long-standing organization with more than 40 years of operating history, a workforce of over 200 employees, and locations across Alberta and British Columbia. As Chief Financial Officer, you will take ownership of major financial and strategic initiatives, with exposure to mergers and acquisitions, financing structures, strategic capital deployment, and growth-focused expansion plans.
What You Will Do
- Guide high-impact financial projects that support organizational expansion and long-term value creation.
- Play a key role in merger and acquisition activity, financing decisions, and strategic investment planning.
- Partner with executive leaders on business strategy and major operational decisions.
- Support financial planning for growth opportunities across multiple locations and regions.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring a CPA designation, along with substantial senior-level finance leadership experience, preferably in a CFO, VP Finance, or similar executive role. You should have the ability to influence strategic direction through strong commercial judgment and broad business understanding.
Experience working closely with executive leadership teams is important, as are strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-management abilities. Background in the transport sector or other complex operational settings would be a strong advantage.
