Job description
Overview
A privately held, founder-led platform is expanding a portfolio of operating businesses across fast-growing consumer-focused and digital sectors. Its first operating company has grown quickly since launch and established a strong foothold in a sizable, expanding market. The group is now adding more businesses as part of a multi-company growth strategy.
The organization is hiring a Chief Financial Officer to own the finance function and work closely with the founders and executive team as the company moves into its next stage of scale and value creation.
Role overview
The CFO will be responsible for shaping financial strategy, planning, capital deployment, and the build-out of finance infrastructure across a growing set of businesses. The role calls for leadership in high-growth, multi-entity environments with increasing operational complexity, especially in founder-led and/or private equity-backed settings. The successful leader will establish the financial foundation needed to support the current business and future operating companies.
Key responsibilities
- Set the financial direction for the portfolio and lead forecasting and long-range planning across multiple entities.
- Create and scale systems, reporting processes, and internal controls that can support continued growth.
- Manage capital allocation decisions, evaluate investments, and prioritize resources effectively.
- Define financial and operating KPIs that improve performance tracking and support better decisions.
- Recruit, develop, and guide a strong finance team.
- Assess and support new business opportunities and growth initiatives.
- Work alongside the founders and executive leadership on strategic and operational matters.
Qualifications
- Background in senior finance leadership roles such as CFO, SVP Finance, or VP Finance within high-growth companies.
- Exposure to subscription-based, digital health, e-commerce, or technology-enabled operating models.
- Experience working in founder-led businesses or private equity-backed organizations.
- Proven ability to scale finance functions through rapid growth and rising complexity.
- Strong expertise in FP&A, financial strategy, capital allocation, and business partnering.
- Hands-on experience operating within multi-entity portfolio structures.
- Ability to implement financial systems, reporting frameworks, and metrics that improve growth management and decision-making.
- History of partnering strategically with founders, owners, boards, or executive teams.
