Position overview
An established industrial business with international operations and headquarters in Italy is looking for an experienced senior finance leader to take over this role as part of a planned succession. The company is a long-standing supplier in consumer goods/DIY, operates its own production, and holds a strong market position across Europe.
As a member of the management team, you will take overall responsibility for financial steering, planning, reporting, controlling, and IT, while acting as a strategic partner to both the local CEO and the group CFO.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full scope of finance, controlling, accounting, tax, and reporting activities
- Serve as a trusted counterpart to executive management and work closely with the international group
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles
- Handle capital raising matters and act as the main contact for banks
- Ensure compliance, risk oversight, and the effectiveness of internal control systems
- Manage and develop a finance team of 10 employees
- Support strategic initiatives and transformation-related projects
Candidate profile
- Completed degree in business, finance, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of leadership experience in a senior finance role
- Background in an international manufacturing company
- Strong command of accounting standards, preferably including HGB and IFRS, together with controlling expertise
- Sharp analytical thinking, strong strategic judgment, leadership skills, and a hands-on approach
- Excellent German and English skills
