About the Role

The Chief Financial Officer will strengthen and expand Grüns’ finance and data capabilities so they operate as a high-performing decision-making engine for the business. This leader will oversee a team of three direct leaders and help build a culture where financial insight is accessible across the company through self-serve dashboards, on-demand reporting, and live visibility into performance.

The role requires a hands-on strategic partner who continually looks for ways to improve revenue, profitability, and EBITDA margin while helping the business scale efficiently. The CFO will also ensure external reporting and compliance obligations are handled smoothly in the background so the organization can stay focused on growth.

This is part of a remote-first environment with a high level of trust. The team works remotely and meets in person twice a year for off-site gatherings.

What Success Looks Like

A clear goal-accountability system is in place, linking major initiatives to financial outcomes and keeping the leadership team aligned on revenue and profit targets.
EBITDA margin has improved across the business, and LTV:CAC efficiency is stronger, supporting continued growth.
Teams across the company have access to self-service dashboards, standardized reporting, and real-time P&L information without needing repeated manual requests.
The finance organization is high-performing and motivated, with strong leadership development, clear support, and sustainable output.
Reporting, compliance, and other external requirements are managed through reliable systems and processes that run smoothly in the background.

Experience Required

At least 10 years of leadership experience in a profitable, fast-growing company.
Prior experience in a business with physical inventory, such as CPG, retail, e-commerce, or a similar model.
Background leading finance, accounting, data, and BizOps functions.
Experience in a high-growth organization adopting public-company-style practices.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary for this role is $350,000, along with incentive compensation. The overall package is intended to be competitive and informed by market data, company size, stage, industry, and location.
