Job description

Company overview

Atlas & Ember Holdings LLC is an operator-led holding company that concentrates on decision support, execution workflows, and visibility into performance. Its approach is built around clear rationale, guardrails, and reconciliation so teams can act quickly with fewer exceptions. The organization values outputs that can be explained, delivery that stays disciplined, and business processes that are practical and repeatable. Work is analytical, shaped by technology, and centered on building business systems that can scale over time. Collaboration happens remotely, with a strong emphasis on clarity, accountability, and measurable outcomes.

Role overview

The Chief Executive Officer will serve in a full-time remote capacity and will be accountable for defining the company’s vision, strategy, and operating model. This leader will guide portfolio strategy, corporate direction, capital allocation, and the creation of long-term value across both existing and future operating businesses. The role involves close attention to financial and operational performance, reviewing metrics and dashboards, and using data to shape decisions around investment, resource allocation, and risk. The CEO will also coach the leadership team, build accountability systems, ensure that decision-support and workflow tools are consistently applied, and drive business development, key partnerships, investor communication, and continuous improvement across internal operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee capital allocation, investment choices, resource deployment, and risk management.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance through dashboards, metrics, and regular reviews.
  • Use data-driven judgment to guide decisions across the business.
  • Lead, coach, and align the leadership team around execution and accountability.
  • Put in place and reinforce accountability frameworks and operating guardrails.
  • Ensure decision-support systems and workflow processes are used consistently across the organization.
  • Drive business development efforts and strengthen customer and partner relationships.
  • Represent the company with investors and other stakeholders.
  • Advance strategic initiatives and support ongoing process improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong executive leadership background with a track record in strategic planning and business planning.
  • Proven ability to create and execute long-range roadmaps.
  • Solid finance experience, including financial modeling, budgeting, capital allocation, and performance analysis.
  • Experience in growth-oriented or operations-focused businesses is preferred for the finance aspect of the role.
  • Hands-on operations management experience, including workflow design, controls, guardrails, and metrics-based execution.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and business development, including go-to-market planning and key account management.
  • Experience growing revenue in B2B or services environments.
  • Ability to lead distributed or remote teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with operator-led holding companies, investing, or multi-entity portfolios is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
  • An MBA or equivalent advanced experience is considered a plus.
  • Comfort using data, dashboards, and explainable analytics tools to support decisions and measure results.
