Role summary

The Chief Executive Officer will guide the overall direction of Keyrock as a fully remote, full-time leader. This person will define the firm’s vision, steer strategy and growth priorities, and take ownership of financial and operational results. The role also involves leading senior advisors and internal staff, ensuring strong delivery of the company’s strategic and fractional CFO services, and representing the business with clients, partners, and the market.

  • Shape and execute the company’s long-term vision, strategy, and growth plan.
  • Oversee financial performance, operating performance, and overall business health.
  • Lead senior advisors and internal teams to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
  • Build trusted relationships with business owners, leadership teams, boards, and investors.
  • Represent the firm in client meetings, partnership discussions, and market-facing initiatives.
  • Direct business planning, budgeting, and resource allocation decisions.
  • Track key performance indicators and use them to improve execution and results.
  • Refine service offerings to better meet client needs and market demand.
  • Drive business development, sales, and new client acquisition efforts.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, governance, and risk awareness.
  • Guide the organization through growth, change, and other periods of transition.

Qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate brings strong financial leadership, operational expertise, and a proven record of executive decision-making. Experience in advisory services, consulting, or finance-oriented businesses is especially valuable. The role calls for a leader who can manage strategy, relationships, and execution in a remote environment while maintaining high standards of communication and stakeholder management.

Additional qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Strong operations management background with a focus on improving processes and systems.
  • Ability to plan for growth, allocate resources well, and scale professional services.
  • Hands-on experience in sales, business development, and B2B client relationship management.
  • Well-developed strategic planning skills, including positioning and value creation.
  • Previous executive or C-suite leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced credentials such as an MBA or other relevant certifications are considered an advantage.
