Role Overview

Taft Brown Associates is working with Generations Behavioral Health to identify a Hospital CEO for its Youngstown, Ohio facility. This is a senior leadership opening with a respected organization operating a 76-bed behavioral health hospital that serves both adult and geriatric patients.

What the Role Involves

In this position, you will guide the hospital’s long-range direction and ensure its strategy is carried out effectively. The role combines hands-on operational oversight with forward-looking planning so the facility can sustain strong, stable growth.

You will be accountable for delivering high-quality patient care, expanding the business, managing staff, and maintaining strong financial results. The position also requires close alignment with the hospital’s vision, mission, and broader organizational goals.

Key Focus Areas

A major part of the role is balancing everyday operational demands with strategic initiatives. The aim is to keep the hospital running smoothly today while building the foundation for long-term success.

Qualifications

A master’s degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required. Relevant academic, clinical, and operational experience may be accepted in place of formal education where appropriate.

You should bring at least 3 to 5 years of experience in behavioral healthcare administration or management, including exposure to operations management or finance. Strong familiarity with regulatory standards at the federal and state levels, as well as CMS and The Joint Commission requirements, is also needed.
