About the Role

Feliciana FCU, a well-established community-chartered credit union with assets of $23 million based in Zachary, Louisiana, is seeking a dynamic and self-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization forward. The CEO will report directly to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for overseeing the credit union's complete management, strategic planning, ensuring financial stability, regulatory compliance, and daily operations. The role involves upholding the cooperative principles central to the credit union mission, delivering outstanding value to members while preserving institutional safety and soundness.

Key Duties

  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement the annual business plan and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Oversee financial management including statements, loan portfolios, and investment activities to ensure profitability along with sufficient capital reserves and liquidity.
  • Develop, track, and communicate financial performance against budgets, regularly reporting to the Board.
  • Lead day-to-day operations encompassing member services, lending functions, and technology management.
  • Guarantee compliance with NCUA regulations, as well as pertinent federal and state laws, and internal policies, staying updated on regulatory changes to adapt procedures accordingly.
  • Act as the primary representative of the credit union, fostering strong relationships with members, industry associations, local businesses, and community groups.
  • Hire, train, and maintain a high-achieving team, fostering a culture focused on accountability, ongoing enhancement, and member-first service.
  • Spot and pursue chances for growth and expansion through new product offerings.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to provide transparent reports, policy advice, and strategic guidance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience within a credit union or community financial institution setting.
  • Deep understanding of NCUA regulatory requirements, GAAP, and credit union lending practices.
  • Proven capability to manage budgets, interpret financial statements, and stimulate revenue growth.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to engage effectively with community stakeholders.
  • Experience managing teams ranging from 5 to 20 employees is preferred.
  • Knowledge of FiServ Portico software is advantageous.
