Role Overview

This leadership position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Managing Director involves spearheading strategic direction and overseeing all operational facets of the Ministry of Finance Ethiopia. Based at Singapore River within the Central Singapore Community Development Council, the role offers a hybrid work arrangement combining on-site leadership with remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement long-range economic and financial strategies aligned with national development priorities.
• Manage public financial operations and administration ensuring effective governance.
• Lead senior management teams and coordinate efforts with government agencies and international collaborators.
• Monitor and evaluate performance relative to financial targets and policy objectives.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory framework and governance standards throughout the organization.
• Enhance organizational effectiveness and cultivate strong stakeholder relations.
• Represent the Ministry in high-level dialogues, negotiations, and public forums.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Expertise in finance and public financial management encompassing budgeting, fiscal policy, and governance.
• Strong background in operational leadership and organizational management with demonstrated success in driving efficiency and accountability.
• Proficiency in strategic and business planning, capable of transforming objectives into practical projects.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, including collaborations with governmental bodies, international agencies, or financial institutions.
• Academic qualifications including an advanced degree in finance, economics, public administration, business, or related disciplines; relevant professional certifications considered advantageous.
• Proven senior management experience within the public sector, financial entities, or sizable organizations managing complex multi-disciplinary teams and budgets.
