Chief Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Chief Accountant to join شركة اتحاد الأغذية in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, onsite position entails comprehensive oversight of accounting functions including maintaining the general ledger, managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll administration, and fixed asset accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring full compliance with local laws and company policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate smooth auditing processes.
• Monitor cash flow and actively support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Implement and enhance internal controls and analyze financial data to deliver clear, actionable reports for management.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team by setting performance benchmarks and fostering professional development.
• Collaborate across departments to support strategic business decision-making.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive knowledge in financial accounting and reporting, including preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports.
• Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide operational and strategic choices.
• Hands-on experience with general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed asset oversight.
• In-depth understanding of internal controls, risk management, and compliance with Saudi Arabian tax and regulatory standards.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, MS Excel, and reporting tools.
• Proven leadership capability with experience coaching and developing accounting teams, alongside exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an added advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with professional credentials such as CPA, CMA, or SOCPA being preferable.
• Substantial prior experience in a Chief Accountant or senior accounting position, preferably within food, FMCG, or manufacturing industries.
