Job description
Overview
The Chef de Partie will be responsible for preparing specialized dishes, managing food quality and quantity, and ensuring proper food handling and presentation within the kitchen team. This position operates full-time, on-site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare specialty meals or substitute products as needed.
- Manage oven, grill, and roaster temperatures to ensure cooking standards.
- Thaw frozen foods by transferring them to refrigeration appropriately.
- Ensure correct portioning, plating, and garnishing of dishes.
- Keep accurate records of food preparation.
- Monitor quality and quantity of food produced.
- Request assistance during peak workload periods.
- Notify the head chef of excess food items for daily specials.
- Inform Food and Beverage staff regarding rejected items and available special dishes.
- Maintain food product quality standards.
- Prepare and cook according to recipes, quality expectations, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Prepare cold dishes.
- Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, guiding, disciplining, motivating, and coaching staff; serve as a role model.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures; report any accidents or unsafe working conditions; complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance and uniform.
- Protect confidential information and company assets.
- Anticipate and fulfill guest service needs.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues.
- Foster positive working relationships and support team goals; respond appropriately to employee concerns.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and expectations.
- Physically stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; perform stretching, bending, twisting, squatting, and stooping movements.
- Lift, move, push, drag items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certificate from a vocational, technical, or trade school.
- A minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
- No supervisory experience is necessary.
- No specific licenses or certifications required.
