Role Overview
The business is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Chef de Partie - Pastry to become part of the culinary brigade and produce memorable desserts for guests.
This position is well suited to someone with polished craftsmanship, strong attention to detail, and prior experience in high-end hotel kitchens.
In this role, you will manage your pastry section independently and contribute to the delivery of refined desserts for restaurants, events, and special functions.
Key Duties
- Create and plate pastries, desserts, and baked items to a consistently high standard, combining accuracy with creativity.
- Keep flavour, texture, and presentation uniform across all menu items.
- Work closely with the Pastry Sous Chef and Executive Pastry Chef to support day-to-day kitchen activity.
- Follow strict hygiene, sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness practices at all times.
- Support the growth of junior colleagues by coaching and guiding them professionally.
- Bring fresh ideas to the section while staying aligned with the brand’s standards and style.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will have solid experience as a Chef de Partie - Pastry within a luxury hotel setting.
A strong command of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert finishing is essential, along with a keen eye for detail and a consistent focus on quality.
You should be able to stay composed and effective in a busy, high-pressure kitchen environment, while contributing positively to the team culture.
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through desserts is highly valued.
