Job description
Role overview
Join a fast-moving retail environment where online commerce has been expanding strongly and where creative, forward-looking ideas are encouraged. This is a hands-on leadership role within the ANZ Sales Leadership team, with responsibility for guiding the eCommerce function and building a collaborative, high-energy team culture.
No relocation support is available for this position.
What you will do
- Lead the ANZ eCommerce channel, spot growth opportunities, and shape it into a connected omnichannel engine that supports full-funnel commercial priorities.
- Set the channel strategy and help build customer business plans and longer-term direction in line with ANZ channel strategy, ICP, and wider commercial goals.
- Work across eComm, Hyper, LBR, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Demand Planning to create joined-up ways of working and shared ownership for omnichannel results.
- Provide commercial guidance and challenge on eCommerce-related issues.
- Improve end-to-end performance across platform execution, SEO/SEM, retail media, and campaign effectiveness to lift visibility, conversion, and customer experience, while coordinating with internal agency partners and retail media networks to maximise investment returns and customer impact.
- Use strong marketplace expertise, including Amazon, to grow the business through retail media, search, content optimisation, and platform know-how.
- Own senior customer relationships across pureplay and omnichannel accounts, including account strategy, negotiations, joint business planning, top-to-top meetings, and delivery of campaigns and growth plans.
- Create and maintain reporting structures and performance measures, using data-led insights to identify priorities and improve commercial outcomes.
- Work closely with regional and global teams to align on strategic direction, share best practices, and use global capabilities to accelerate growth locally.
- Build, coach, and align the eCommerce team and its resources, promoting a high-performing, collaborative, agile, and test-and-learn culture.
- Encourage experimentation and continuous innovation through a strong test-and-learn mindset.
Team and business context

The function helps deliver strong customer experiences across every touchpoint and works closely with retailers, sales, marketing, operations, and regional teams to keep the brand journey consistent. In this role, you will lead a team of four and own the strategy and execution of the growth agenda, helping shape how eCommerce and omnichannel capability develops across ANZ. The position reports directly to the General Manager ANZ and is an important part of the wider commercial leadership group.
What you should bring
- Commercial background, including experience in sales or key account management.
- Strong knowledge of eCommerce or digital marketing.
- Strategic thinking and sound commercial judgement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort using a test-and-learn approach.
- Leadership experience in building and developing an eCommerce team as a strategic part of the business.
- Practical selling and negotiation skills, plus the ability to analyse sales and commercial performance and work closely with customers.
- Proven experience leading diverse teams and individuals.
- Genuine enthusiasm for learning and having fun while doing it.
