Job Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Chaat Maker to join Nutkhut Caterers in Delhi-NCR. The role involves preparing authentic chaat dishes entirely from scratch, including tasks such as boiling potatoes and chickpeas, frying crispy components like papdi and sev, and mixing flavorful bases. You will be responsible for crafting and standardizing various chutneys (mint/coriander, tamarind, garlic), spice blends, and flavored waters (pani) essential to our recipes.
Maintaining impeccable hygiene and sanitation is crucial; this includes keeping your workstation clean, properly sanitizing utensils, and correctly handling perishable ingredients to meet food safety standards. You will also oversee inventory management by tracking ingredient supplies and expiration dates, informing management when restocking is necessary. Efficiently assembling orders for dine-in or takeaway customers, while customizing spice levels to their taste, is a key part of the role.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
The ideal candidate will have between one to three years of experience in preparing Indian street food or working in fast-paced quick-service restaurants. A strong mastery of regional flavor profiles and the capability to balance diverse textures and tastes consistently is essential. Furthermore, candidates must be able to maintain composure and operate efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
Compensation
The monthly remuneration for this position ranges from 15,000 to 20,000 INR.
