Employment Details

This is a full-time, daytime position based in Clinton, Iowa, offering a $30,000 sign-on bonus and loan forgiveness opportunities. The position involves no weekday nights or weekend shifts.

Role Purpose

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will either directly deliver or oversee anesthesiology services for hospital patients, ensuring timely care that meets the institution's standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer various forms of anesthesia including general, pediatric, thoracic, obstetrical, intravenous sedation, regional blocks, intravenous regional anesthesia, and conductive anesthesia for inpatients, surgical outpatients, and emergency cases.
  • Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations following established clinical guidelines.
  • Monitor patients postoperatively to detect any anesthesia-related complications.
  • Respond quickly to emergency codes where anesthesia provider presence is required.
  • Provide clinical services adhering to current accepted medical standards, adapting as standards evolve.
  • Collaborate effectively with operating room leadership, fellow anesthesia providers, and clinical teams.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Hold a valid CRNA professional license.
  • Preferably have a minimum of five years’ experience as a CRNA.
  • Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within three months of employment.
  • Acquire Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications within the first year.
  • Demonstrate personal integrity, honesty, and compassion with the ability to motivate colleagues while supporting organizational mission and values.
