Job description
About BJAK
BJAK was founded on a simple idea: people should have smarter ways to plan, save, and grow their money. Since launching in 2019, the company has built the first mobile-first insurance platform in the region, making insurance more accessible online to millions. It is now the leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia.
BJAK is now broadening its offering to help people manage more of their financial life, including spending, saving, investing, exchanging money, travelling, and more. The mission is to help people get more from their money every day.
The company has globally distributed teams made up of more than 20 nationalities, working from offices and remotely. BJAK looks for highly capable, driven people who are motivated by purpose, enjoy building new-generation products, and want to improve financial access for everyone, not just a select few.
The Role
This opening is for a strong operator to join the CEO Office supporting BJAK's AI neobank app expansion. The person in this role will help convert CEO priorities into real execution across product, hiring, licensing, partnerships, market launches, and the day-to-day operating cadence.
What You'll Own
- Move CEO-level priorities from problem framing through to delivery.
- Monitor OKRs, decisions, blockers, owners, and deadlines across multiple teams.
- Support licensing submissions, country expansion work, hiring, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
- Draft concise briefs, progress updates, research summaries, meeting follow-ups, and action trackers.
- Coordinate with product, engineering, finance, legal, compliance, operations, and country-specific teams.
- Spot gaps in execution and drive teams to resolve them.
- Take ownership of urgent business issues that do not belong neatly in one department.
What We're Looking For
- A business generalist with a high sense of ownership and strong execution habits.
- Someone who writes clearly, thinks in a structured way, and consistently follows through.
- Comfort working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to operate well in ambiguity, time-sensitive situations, and changing priorities.
- Good judgement on what is important, what is stuck, and when escalation is needed.
- Capability to keep work moving without adding unnecessary process.
- Background in startups, consulting, operations, strategy, fintech, or founder-led environments is a strong plus.
The Kind of Builder We Want
- Can turn vague priorities into concrete next steps.
- Is able to chase issues, remove blockers, and get things done without needing constant reminders.
- Writes updates that make decisions easier for others.
- Remains steady when many moving parts need attention at once.
- Focuses on outcomes rather than visibility.
This Role Is Not For
- People who mainly want to sit in meetings.
- Candidates who cannot follow up firmly and professionally.
- Those who need fixed scopes and slow timelines.
- People who avoid complex cross-functional problems.
- People who produce lengthy updates without clear decisions or next actions.
Location
This is a remote role, but applicants must already be based in Singapore. The hiring is specifically for the Singapore market.
Language
English is the primary working language across global teams, so strong English communication skills are required.
Interview Process
The hiring process is designed to be quick and efficient:
- Online assessment or practical task
- Role-specific interview
- Final round with the CEO
For strong candidates, BJAK aims to finish the process and extend an offer within one week after interviews begin. Candidates who complete assessments quickly will be given priority.
