Job description
Role overview
This senior advisory position is for an experienced professional who can support a growing organisation in strengthening executive leadership and improving operational performance. You will work alongside the CEO and senior leadership team to improve decision-making, deepen leadership capability, and enhance day-to-day business execution.
Business challenge
As companies expand, both leadership expectations and operational complexity tend to rise. This assignment is intended for someone who can help senior stakeholders sharpen leadership effectiveness, bring teams into alignment, improve organisational performance, and drive operational excellence across key business areas.
Why this background is relevant
The right fit for this position will combine executive-level judgement, coaching expertise, and a solid understanding of operations. Prior experience in VP, C-suite, transformation, operational leadership, or executive advisory environments would be especially relevant. The ideal candidate performs best when helping senior leaders turn priorities into action and improve how the business runs.
Important scope note
This is an advisory role, not a CEO vacancy. The position supports the CEO and executive team in leadership, organisational effectiveness, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Advise the CEO and senior leadership group on leadership effectiveness and operational improvement
- Deliver structured one-on-one and team coaching to strengthen leadership performance
- Support initiatives that improve collaboration, decision-making, succession planning, and employee engagement
- Contribute to operational excellence workstreams focused on efficiency, process improvement, and sustainable growth
- Collaborate across finance, HR, and compliance to align operating practices with strategic goals
- Spot realistic opportunities to improve performance and help shape implementation plans
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and provide clear, practical guidance
- Help leadership teams keep momentum on strategic and organisational priorities
Expected outcomes
- Senior leaders receive stronger support in decision-making and leadership effectiveness
- Teams work with better alignment and clearer direction
- Operational priorities are converted into measurable improvements
- Cross-functional initiatives are followed through with stronger business impact
- The organisation is better prepared to scale with discipline and clarity
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in VP, C-suite, or similarly senior leadership positions
- A strong record in leadership development, executive coaching, or mentoring senior stakeholders
- Experience leading operational strategy and improving business performance
- Ability to work across multiple functions with good judgement and discretion
- Strong communication, influence, and stakeholder-management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related subject
- An advanced degree would be an advantage
Additional relevant experience
Backgrounds that may be particularly useful include executive leadership, operational excellence, business transformation, organisational development, strategic operations, executive coaching, succession planning, employee engagement, and exposure to finance, HR, or compliance. Experience from consulting, financial services, education, or other complex operating environments may also be valuable. Equivalent experience will be considered.
What makes this opportunity appealing
- Direct access to the CEO and executive-level stakeholders
- Meaningful influence over leadership and operational priorities
- A broad advisory remit that combines coaching with business improvement
- Remote working with occasional travel
- The chance to contribute to growth, capability building, and organisational performance
