CCTV Infrastructure Specialist (Systems Engineer)

Role overview

This position is for a CCTV Infrastructure Specialist to support a large-scale security environment in Doha. The role centers on building, running, and improving CCTV surveillance infrastructure along with hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) that supports dependable video monitoring, storage, and retrieval.

You will work on system architecture, deployment, upkeep, and performance tuning for high-availability platforms. The job also involves server technologies, database continuity, clustering, and cloud-connected environments to keep security services resilient, scalable, and compliant.

Key responsibilities

The selected candidate will partner with security and IT operations teams to reduce downtime, control risk, and maintain reliable surveillance services across critical venues.

Technical scope

Core work includes Windows Server administration, clustering, database high availability, HCI cluster management, and troubleshooting IP CCTV traffic and related network issues.

Requirements

Applicants should have at least 5 years of practical experience in IT infrastructure management, including a minimum of 2 years working specifically with surveillance/video systems and HCI.

Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022 is required, along with Active Directory, PowerShell, and Hyper-V. Experience with Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC), SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, and HCI cluster design and support is also necessary.

The role requires familiarity with IP CCTV standards and protocols such as ONVIF and RTSP, plus the ability to diagnose network problems affecting video traffic.

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required, along with a Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification or an equivalent credential.

Preferred qualifications

Additional advantages include experience with Nutanix, VMware vSAN, or Microsoft Azure Stack HCI; Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate; CompTIA Security+ or a similar cybersecurity certification; Python scripting for automation; and hands-on integration of on-premise systems with Azure or AWS for hybrid storage and disaster recovery.
