Role summary
This position is for an experienced Compensation & Benefits Senior Specialist who will shape, roll out, and improve employee benefit programs for international markets. The role serves as the regional expert for benefits, with responsibility for keeping offerings competitive, aligned with local laws, and consistent with the organization’s global rewards approach.
What you will do
- Oversee the routine administration and full lifecycle of regional benefit schemes, such as health coverage, retirement or pension arrangements, and wellness-related programs.
- Track statutory changes and market developments in the assigned regions, and use benchmarking to keep benefit offerings competitive and compliant.
- Handle coordination with regional insurance brokers, benefits vendors, and other third-party partners, while monitoring service quality and cost effectiveness.
- Contribute to the review and localization of global benefit policies, and help refine processes to make administration smoother and employee support more efficient.
- Assist with regional and global compensation and benefits initiatives, including annual renewals, benefit alignment projects, and tax optimization efforts.
- Advise HR Business Partners on complex benefits issues, escalations, and employee communications related to total rewards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, including at least 3 years specifically handling regional or global employee benefits in a multinational company.
- Strong background in managing multi-country benefit structures, including medical coverage, pension, life insurance, and statutory benefits.
- Good analytical ability, with experience in working with data and building models that can turn benefits information into practical business insights.
- Careful and organized approach, with the ability to manage multiple timelines, vendor agreements, and service-level commitments.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, a proactive attitude, and comfort working through ambiguity in a fast-moving multicultural setting.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin are required for communication with stakeholders in both languages.
- Experience in technology, e-commerce, consulting, or professional services is considered an advantage.
