Catering Attendant

As a Catering Attendant, you will support the Australian aviation industry by preparing and assembling meals, stocking airline carts, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to ensure a smooth inflight service for thousands of passengers daily.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and present meals according to visual guidelines.
• Assemble meal trays aligned with airline specifications and load them into carts.
• Stock airline carts with packaged food, drinks, and equipment needed onboard.
• Operate dishwashers to clean cutlery, crockery, and glassware and ensure all items are in pristine condition.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and safety policies including HACCP, IFSA, and QSAI standards.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to meet delivery schedules promptly.

Candidate Requirements

• Provision of a clear National Police Check.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Good numeracy skills to manage documentation and reporting accurately.
• Physical capability to stand for long durations and handle lifting and moving items.
• Willingness to work a rotating 7-day roster.
• Availability for a 38-hour full-time week commitment.
• Neat and tidy personal presentation emphasizing hygiene.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic knife handling skills are advantageous but not essential.
