Palomba General Trading LLC is an international trading business based in the United Arab Emirates, linking manufacturers with customers across the Middle East, Europe, and selected global markets. Its portfolio spans botanical extracts, pharmaceutical ingredients, nutraceutical inputs, food ingredients, essential oils, natural fragrance solutions, and specialty raw materials used in the pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, and wellness sectors.
The company is expanding its activities in Qatar and is seeking a Category Manager for Natural Ingredients & Botanical Extracts to strengthen its international product portfolio from Doha.
Role Overview
This position focuses on managing and growing a product category centered on natural ingredients and botanical extracts. The role involves sourcing, market analysis, supplier development, commercial coordination, and support for new product introductions across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow the Natural Ingredients & Botanical Extracts category.
- Search for new suppliers and assess innovative natural ingredient options for global markets.
- Track market movements, pricing changes, and competitor activity.
- Assist with supplier screening and strategic sourcing work.
- Work with international customers to capture product needs and identify business opportunities.
- Create product portfolio presentations and commercial support documents.
- Coordinate activities with manufacturers, logistics providers, and internal teams.
- Help introduce new ingredients into pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, and cosmetic applications.
- Represent the company at international trade shows, supplier discussions, and B2B networking events.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on professional experience.
- Background in natural ingredients, botanical extracts, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, food ingredients, or international trading is preferred.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical thinking.
- Confident communication and negotiation abilities.
- Comfort working in a multicultural, international setting.
- Very good English communication skills.
- Knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers a competitive monthly salary of QAR 18,000 to QAR 30,000, with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and professional achievements. Exceptional performers may also be considered for extra performance-based incentives.
