Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
As a Casual Technician, you will support the base supervisor in task allocation, especially when the Senior Technician is unavailable. Collaboration is key, and you will assist colleagues to ensure a cohesive team environment. Maintaining a detailed daily diary is part of your routine, along with keeping your work area, whether onsite or in the workshop, clean and organized. Additionally, you will help promote the services, products, and solutions offered by Furmanite. It is essential to adhere strictly to the company's quality standards under AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 and follow internal policies and procedures.
Mandatory Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant qualifications as a Fitter & Turner, Fitter Machinist, or similar trade skills;
- A trade certificate is highly regarded;
- Possession of a valid Australian Driver's License;
- Must have a Construction Card;
- Capability to work in diverse environments including onshore, offshore, and remote locations;
- Flexibility to work shifts as required;
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines;
- Independence in managing tasks with minimal supervision;
- Proficient communication skills in written and spoken English;
- Basic computer skills are advantageous.
