Overview

The Launceston General Hospital (LGH) Casual Pool offers the chance to work across multiple hospital departments, providing versatile experience and fostering a balanced work life through flexible shift options. Pool members receive support from dedicated nursing and staffing teams.

Role Summary

The Hospital Aide in the Casual Pool supports various wards and units by maintaining supplies, performing cleaning duties, and running errands. This role is essential to maintaining a smooth and comfortable environment for both inpatients and outpatients.

Appointment Details

This is a fixed-term casual contract position beginning as soon as possible, expected to last around 12 months. Work hours are flexible and arranged with the appointed person.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The salary range is $59,668 to $65,185 per annum on a pro-rated basis, with an additional 12% employer superannuation contribution.
  • This remuneration follows the Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2025.
  • Eligible employees can access salary packaging benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 for meal entertainment annually, plus other perks.
