About Adelaide Venue Management (AVM)

AVM is South Australia's foremost provider of venue management services, operating three iconic venues: Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, and Coopers Stadium, as well as overseeing functions at The Drive. The Adelaide Convention Centre is renowned globally for hosting diverse major events including conferences, exhibitions, and gala celebrations, having recently secured top honors at the 2025 Australian Business Event Awards.

Role Overview

If you thrive in dynamic settings and have a passion for live sports, consider joining the Game Day team supporting the 2026/2027 Adelaide 36ers and Adelaide United seasons. This fixed-term casual position runs from September 2026 to April 2027 with the possibility of continued casual employment for outstanding performers. You'll provide exceptional service and contribute to memorable event experiences at some of South Australia's largest sporting venues.

Available Positions & Key Responsibilities

  • Service Attendants and Food & Beverage Attendants: Serve guests with food and drinks, respond quickly to requests, deliver event catering, set up and reset event spaces, and ensure premium guest experiences. RSA certification required.
  • Cleaners: Maintain cleanliness and safety in public and event areas before, during, and after events to support a welcoming environment.
  • Kitchen Attendants: Wash and sanitize kitchenware, ensure kitchen cleanliness and food safety, and assist with equipment logistics across venues.
  • Security Staff: Ensure safety and security of guests, staff, and contractors through venue access control, patron screening, and incident response, delivering excellent customer service while enforcing policies. Security license and RSA certification required.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Physically fit to be on your feet for the duration of event shifts.

Additional Requirements

  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate for Food & Beverage roles.
  • Current Security License and RSA Certificate for Security roles.
