Job description
Position Overview
This casual position at the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex focuses on front desk and field house support in a busy, high-energy setting. The role centers on welcoming patrons and visitors, handling day-to-day reception tasks, and helping ensure the facility runs smoothly.
Key Duties
- Greet guests and patrons and provide a positive first point of contact.
- Answer incoming phone calls and handle general reception inquiries.
- Verify memberships and program details using the facility’s computer system.
- Process cash and support related payment handling tasks.
- Oversee the field house and assist with booking facility rentals.
- Record equipment damage or repair needs and help coordinate equipment use.
- Complete inventory checks and maintain filing records.
- Carry out cleaning duties for sports equipment, the facility, washrooms, and garbage collection.
- Enforce facility policies and rules while delivering strong customer service to users.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Working Conditions
This role may involve lifting up to 40 lbs. The successful applicant must also be prepared to work evenings and weekends as required.
Qualifications
Applicants should be at least 16 years old. The position is a good fit for students, retirees, or others interested in community-focused work. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, multitasking, and functioning as part of a team. Moderate computer ability is needed. Standard First Aid/CPR Level C would be considered an advantage.
