Role Overview
The cashier role is focused on delivering prompt, courteous, and professional service while accurately handling customer transactions at the register. This position also supports PCC membership and program awareness.

Key Duties
- Deliver friendly and professional service to every customer.
- Scan, enter, and process items in the register accurately and efficiently.
- Accept and handle payments in line with company standards.
- Use basic arithmetic and operate a 10-key system confidently.
- Share information about membership options and store programs.
- Process merchandise returns when required.
- Pack groceries according to store bagging practices.
- Keep the checkout area neat and orderly.
- Follow sanitation, cleanliness, and safety expectations for the department.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service in a professional manner.
- Availability for varied shifts, including mornings, mid-day shifts, and weekends.
- Comfort with basic math and 10-key entry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Prior experience in retail or direct customer-facing roles is preferred, especially in cashiering or grocery retail.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as standing, bending, twisting, repetitive movements, and lifting 10 to 40 lbs regularly.
- A current Washington State Department of Health Food Worker Card is required.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Compensation
Starting wage: $21.55 per hour.
