About the Role

Additionally, Cashiers play a key role in loss prevention by vigilantly safeguarding company assets and following strict security practices.

Key Duties

• Warmly welcome all customers with polite and friendly greetings.
• Efficiently handle purchase transactions, including proper deactivation of merchandise per the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) program.
• Actively promote Walmart-sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable campaigns.
• Provide assistance to customers with bagging and loading their purchased items.
• Follow safe work protocols, including correct lifting techniques and maintaining an orderly work environment.
• Uphold the security and integrity of the cash register by being cautious when handling cash, following company policies, and remaining alert to surroundings.
• Refer customers to Customer Service Managers for any specialized service or transactional needs.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.15 CAD.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
