Job description

Role overview

A restaurant in the Greater Accra Region is looking for a Cashier / Customer Service Officer to manage payments, handle customer interactions, and support smooth day-to-day front-of-house operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and maintain a professional, approachable manner.
  • Accept and accurately process payments through cash, Mobile Money, and card.
  • Record customer orders carefully to ensure they are captured correctly.
  • Keep daily sales documentation accurate and up to date.
  • Answer questions from customers in person, over the phone, and through WhatsApp.
  • Maintain a tidy and well-arranged cashier station.
  • Support opening and closing routines as needed.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to help ensure orders are prepared on time and customers receive good service.

Requirements

  • A minimum of WASSCE / Senior High School Certificate is required.
  • Prior experience in cashiering or customer service will be an added advantage.
  • Must be honest, dependable, and trustworthy.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities are important.
  • Basic familiarity with computers or POS systems is beneficial.
  • Should be able to remain effective in a busy, high-pressure setting.
  • Must be punctual, neatly presented, and focused on customer satisfaction.

Preferred location

Candidates living in Haatso, Madina, North Legon, Westlands, Christian Village, Agbogba, Achimota, or nearby areas are preferred.

Working schedule

The role runs from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, for six working days each week.

Compensation

The monthly pay is GHS 1,000 to GHS 1,500, with the exact amount depending on qualifications, experience, and performance.
