Role Overview

This is a challenging opportunity for a Cash Processor who will support the movement, verification, and accounting of cash and valuables in branch locations. The role is important to keeping cash flow moving smoothly for banks and businesses, while also helping maintain security and operational accuracy.

The position involves working in a busy environment where attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with security requirements are essential. It also requires safeguarding Brink’s premises and customer property, as well as protecting the safety of everyone on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing currency transactions by processing, checking, balancing, and reporting them accurately.
  • Escalate any mismatch or discrepancy to the shift supervisor or team leader without delay.
  • Enter transaction data correctly and completely.
  • Prepare cash orders for dispatch and replenishment needs.
  • Process cheque imaging using Nautilus, BTMS, and VTM.
  • Spot and report inconsistencies quickly to protect financial accuracy.
  • Complete daily checklists within the required deadlines for each major task.
  • Follow Brink’s security controls and procedures at all times to reduce loss risk.
  • Work strictly in line with SOPs, security rules, and safe working procedures.
  • Close workstations properly at the end of the day, dispose of waste as instructed, sort deposit slips, confirm that no work is left pending, print cheque manifests, and ensure deposits reconcile.
  • Route all scanned work and teller documentation to the correct destination or file it appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork to support complete audit trails.
  • Set the standard through behavior that reinforces safety, service focus, integrity, engagement, and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 22 kg (50 lb) or more.

Preferred Background

  • Prior experience in banking or a professional finance setting.
  • Familiarity with operational and administrative processes.
  • Experience using cash counting machines for notes and coins.
