InfluenceUP is a social media marketing agency catering to small and medium enterprises, trusted by over 350 local businesses in Mauritius. As the organization expands, it seeks a dedicated professional to manage the vital task of ensuring all delivered services are duly paid for.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable by diligently following up on all overdue invoices until payment is secured.
• Execute the complete payment recovery process, which includes sending reminders, making calls, communicating via WhatsApp, and conducting personal visits when necessary to expedite collections.
• Obtain payments promptly; if bank transfers are not immediately possible, identify alternative methods including in-person collection.
• Negotiate and establish clear, scheduled payment plans for clients who require them.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outstanding amounts and provide weekly reports on the status of collections.
• Balance firmness in recovery efforts with preserving positive client relationships, ensuring that debt collection does not harm future business ties.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in debt recovery, credit control, or collections, preferably from finance or hire purchase sectors.
• Succesful record of securing payments, not just pursuing outstanding debts.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure, excellent negotiation skills, and trustworthy management of cash.
• Fluency in Kreol, with good command of English and French.
• Strong organizational skills, numerical aptitude, and results-oriented mindset.
• Primarily office-based with availability to travel for field collections when required; possession of a driver's license is an advantage.

Additional Information

You will collaborate closely with the finance lead and report directly to her. Success in this role will be measured by the effective recovery of owed funds while protecting client relationships. This position is located in Rose Belle, Mauritius.
