Role Overview
This full-time position based in Qatar involves preparing comprehensive technical and shop drawings related to joinery, fit-out, and carpentry work. Responsibilities include creating, updating, and refining 2D and 3D drawings to align with architectural and project requirements. The role requires coordination with project managers, engineers, and site personnel to clarify technical needs, verify measurements, uphold drawing standards, and prepare necessary documentation for approvals and manufacturing. The drafter's output is pivotal to smooth production and installation processes.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in technical and general drawing for carpentry and joinery projects.
- Proven capability in developing shop drawings for fit-out and joinery fabrication.
- Strong understanding and interpretation of architectural drawings conforming to project guidelines.
- Good grasp of architectural principles applicable to interior fit-outs and joinery design.
- Proficient with AutoCAD for detailed 2D drafting and basic 3D modeling; familiarity with Revit or SketchUp is advantageous.
- Experience in carpentry, joinery, or interior fit-out settings, with knowledge of materials, hardware, and manufacturing techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret and measure technical documents.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary environments and meet deadlines.
- Possession of a diploma or degree in drafting, civil engineering, architecture, or a related discipline is desirable.
