Role overview
She Flipped Renovations is hiring a dependable, self-driven Carpenter / Renovation Specialist to support its expanding renovation team. The company focuses on apartment and townhome turnover work, suite restorations, and residential renovation projects for property management clients, with much of the current workload based in Edmonton and Red Deer.
This role suits someone who enjoys varied renovation assignments and takes pride in producing neat, high-quality workmanship.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out demolition and prepare job sites for the next phase of work.
- Install luxury vinyl plank flooring and, from time to time, carpet.
- Complete stair finishing tasks such as LVP treads and risers, along with metal nosing.
- Perform subfloor repairs, install underlayment, and handle basic floor prep.
- Fit baseboards, casing, interior doors, and exterior doors.
- Install laminate countertops, vanities, cabinets, hardware, and other finishing items.
- Handle drywall installation and repairs, including mudding, taping, sanding, texturing, and final finishing.
- Replace insulation and repair vapour barriers where needed.
- Restore areas affected by moisture damage and complete general restoration tasks.
- Prepare and paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, cabinets, and closets.
- Refinish cabinets and bathtubs when required.
- Support kitchen and bathroom renovation and repair work.
- Take on minor framing, backing, and general carpentry repairs.
- Complete routine maintenance repairs and finishing tasks as assigned.
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Deliver solid workmanship while staying on schedule.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in residential renovations and finish carpentry is preferred.
- Background in flooring, painting, drywall, trim work, and general renovation tasks is an asset.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
- Strong eye for detail and a positive, professional attitude.
- Must be physically able to lift materials and carry out construction work.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in day-to-day work.
Requirements
- A valid driver's licence and access to a dependable vehicle are required.
- Having your own basic hand and power tools is preferred.
- Must be open to travelling for out-of-town assignments, especially in Red Deer.
- Willingness to stay overnight occasionally for larger projects outside the city is required.
