Carpenter - Building Maintenance and Small Projects

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and fully licensed carpenter to join our expanding maintenance team based in Dunedin, New Zealand (32 Fox Street). This full-time position requires working 44 hours per week and involves a dynamic combination of building maintenance, repairs, and small project tasks across commercial and residential properties throughout the region. The role involves travel to various customer sites and participation in an on-call roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks on buildings
• Undertake small project and refurbishment works
• Identify and efficiently resolve maintenance issues
• Provide quality workmanship alongside excellent customer service
• Travel regularly to client locations across the region
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately one week per month

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a recognized carpentry qualification
• Minimum of five years experience in building maintenance and small-scale projects
• Hold a current Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) certification
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to work autonomously
• Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
• Hold a full, clean driver's license with the capability to travel frequently
