Role overview

TEACH Poole Multi-Academy Trust is seeking a Caretaker to support its Trust Estates team across four schools: Ad Astra Infant School, Haymoor Junior School, Canford Heath Infant School, and Canford Heath Junior School. The post is employed by the Trust as a whole and works under the guidance of the Estates Manager.

The Trust was established in April 2015. All four schools are rated good or outstanding by Ofsted and are described as popular, forward-thinking, and well supported by staff and pupils.

Hours, pattern, and contract

This is a permanent role available as soon as possible. The working pattern is 20 hours per week, across 52 weeks per year, with alternating shifts: week one from 7:00 am to 11:00 am and week two from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Pay

Salary is Grade F, Point 12 to 17, with a full-time equivalent range of £28,598 to £31,022 pro-rata. The actual salary for this part-time post is £15,458.38 to £16,768.65.

  • Supporting the estates team to help keep children and staff safe across the schools
  • Maintaining the standards of safety and presentation of the buildings and grounds every day
  • Carrying out general maintenance and practical tasks around the school to a high standard
  • Taking responsibility for opening, locking, and securing the school premises and grounds

Experience note

Previous experience in a school-based role like this would be helpful, but it is not required.
