Role overview
Student Roost is looking for a caretaker to support day-to-day upkeep at its student accommodation in Trinity Square, Nottingham. The role is centred on helping residents feel at home by keeping the building safe, well-maintained, and running smoothly.
In this position, you will handle a mix of practical maintenance tasks, compliance activity, and resident-facing support. The role also involves working with external contractors and keeping accurate records using digital tools.
Location and working pattern
Location: Trinity Square, Nottingham
Hours: 37.5 hours per week on average, across 5 days out of 7, working between 8am and 8pm.
Salary: £26,227.50 per year.
What the role involves
- Carrying out health, safety, and compliance inspections across the property.
- Responding to maintenance issues and completing reactive repair work.
- Supporting grounds upkeep and general external maintenance.
- Taking part in redecoration and presentation work around the building.
- Using digital systems and mobile tools to log work and support compliance processes.
- Managing debt-related tasks as part of the role’s broader operational duties.
- Escorting third-party contractors to the relevant areas and issues within the building.

- Any additional maintenance qualifications are welcome, though they are not required.
- Electrical training will be provided.
