Caregiver

Overview

Join Colonial Vista Senior Living as a Caregiver, delivering compassionate and quality support to senior residents. You will assist with daily living activities while fostering dignity, independence, and a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Help residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide assistance with mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and supporting walking.
• Support residents during meal times by serving, feeding when necessary, and encouraging hydration.
• Observe and communicate any changes in residents’ health, behaviors, or needs to the Health Services Director.
• Perform light housekeeping related to residents’ care, including room tidying and linen changes.
• Engage residents socially through conversation, activities, and companionship.
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and emergency procedures at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of care delivered.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to enhance residents’ comfort and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in caregiving is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Physical ability to safely lift, move, or assist residents.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable character traits.
• Successful completion of background check and compliance with state caregiving standards.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage ranges from $18 to $20 depending on experience and qualifications.

Additional pay elements might include shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
