The organization supports both new and experienced cybersecurity professionals with practical learning, expert instruction, and hands-on experience.

The Professional Branding team helps students present themselves as strong candidates through resume development, LinkedIn profile optimization, and strategic content that positions them as credible voices in cybersecurity.

Role summary

The organization is looking for a motivated Career Specialist to join the Professional Branding team. This person will work in a fast-moving, results-focused environment and will help students secure cybersecurity roles by carrying out job applications, connecting with recruiters, and driving interview opportunities on their behalf.

Responsibilities

Core duties include managing daily job applications, reaching out to recruiters, maintaining tracking records, and reporting performance results to management. The role also requires close collaboration with branding specialists and regular communication with students.

  • Submit 15–20 strong job applications each day for assigned students.
  • Adapt resumes to match specific job postings and aim for an 85–100% ATS compatibility level.
  • Search across job boards, company career pages, LinkedIn, and other platforms to find relevant openings.
  • Record every submitted application for monitoring and accountability.
  • Contact recruiters and hiring managers directly on behalf of students.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with recruiters in the cybersecurity field.
  • Follow up appropriately to keep applications moving through the hiring process.
  • Work toward securing at least 5 interviews per month for each assigned student.
  • Keep detailed logs of applications, recruiter conversations, and interview results.
  • Prepare and submit weekly performance updates to management.
  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned KPIs.
  • Contribute to performance reviews and strategy discussions with the team.
  • Coordinate with Branding Specialists so applications align with student branding.
  • Take part in weekly team reviews and training sessions.
  • Keep students informed about the progress of their job search.
  • Share suggestions that improve processes and team workflows.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or career services, along with a solid grasp of ATS systems and effective application practices. Strong communication, organization, and self-management are essential.

  • At least 2 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or career services.
  • Good understanding of applicant tracking systems and best practices for job applications.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented setting.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and consistently meet daily targets.
  • Comfort using LinkedIn, job boards, and ATS platforms.
  • Preferred: familiarity with cybersecurity roles such as GRC, SOC Analyst, Compliance, and Risk Management.
  • Preferred: prior recruitment experience in tech or cybersecurity.
  • Preferred: experience in quota-based or metrics-driven environments.
  • Preferred: knowledge of resume tailoring and personal branding.

Performance expectations

  • 15–20 applications submitted per student every day.
  • Resume match rate of 85–100% for ATS systems.
  • At least 5 interviews secured per student each month.
  • Recruiter follow-ups completed within 48 hours.
  • Weekly performance reports completed in full.
  • Student satisfaction score of 4.5 out of 5 or higher.
