About the Role
We are seeking individuals looking to reorient their careers, including those returning after parental leave. During your approximately one-year retraining program, you'll receive comprehensive theoretical and practical education, a salary from the start, and mentorship from experienced colleagues. After training, you will independently manage tasks as a fully integrated member of our team at Deutsche Bahn Fahrwegdienste GmbH in Hameln.
Training Program Details
- Step-by-step instruction tailored to your new profession lasting about a year
- Alternating theoretical lessons and practical sessions for hands-on learning
- Close support from experienced team members to ensure a smooth introduction
- Theoretical classes held near your residence; practical assignments mostly in your future work area
- Secure salary from the beginning of your retraining
Key Responsibilities Post-Training
- Ensuring safety at rail construction sites as part of a team
- Warning personnel working on tracks using signals and modern warning systems about approaching trains
- Implementing safety regulations and onboarding new security posts
- Communicating effectively with various contacts to maintain smooth operations
- Independently organizing and supervising safety measures on construction sites
Candidate Profile
- Minimum age of 18 with a secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss)
- No prior experience required, but reliability and commitment to safety are essential
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Proficient German language skills, both spoken and written
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and varying locations
- Possession of a class B driving license and own vehicle is advantageous but not obligatory
