Role Overview: Care Assistant - Night Duty

We are recruiting proactive and compassionate individuals to join our newly developed residential services team. This full-time role focuses on providing individualized, respectful, and empowering care that promotes the rights, dignity, wellbeing, and independence of the people we assist. The service supports individuals in leading meaningful, self-directed lives within their homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering person-centered and tailored support aligned with individual needs.
  • Upholding rights and advocating for those supported.
  • Participating in person-centered planning and ensuring outcome-focused care.
  • Fostering community inclusion and participation.
  • Promoting health, wellbeing, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Implementing positive behavior support strategies.
  • Ensuring safeguarding and protection of individuals.
  • Maintaining accurate communication, documentation, and collaborating effectively with the team.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development and best practice adherence.
  • Adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Handling additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a minimum QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, Health Service Skills, Community Care, Nursing Studies, Social Care, or another relevant field.
  • At least six months of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • A valid, full, clean driving license and willingness to drive.
  • Availability primarily for night shifts, with flexibility for day and evening shifts as required.
