Role Overview

As a Complex Care Assistant, you will provide attentive overnight support to a young child who requires complete assistance in daily care routines, ensuring safety and comfort through the night shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with manual handling tasks
  • Administering feeds and medications via gastrostomy
  • Monitoring skin and tissue health
  • Managing respiratory needs including BiPAP non-invasive ventilation for day and night sleep, as well as monitoring oxygen saturation
  • Providing incontinence care including four-hourly intermittent catheterisation during daytime

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering care to children with complex medical needs within a home care setting
  • Practical knowledge of respiratory care, PEG feeding, and catheterisation techniques is advantageous

Working Hours and Compensation

The role involves 9-hour night shifts scheduled Monday through Sunday. The pay rate is £15.20 per hour.
