Role Overview

This full-time position for a Cardiovascular Technologist is based onsite in Mecca. The role involves preparing patients for cardiovascular procedures and operating diagnostic and interventional equipment in cardiology, including cardiac catheterization. You will collaborate closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other medical staff to support efficient workflow in the catheterization lab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and assist during cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Operate imaging and monitoring equipment to capture and document accurate cardiovascular data.
  • Monitor patients' condition throughout procedures ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Ensure strict compliance with radiation safety measures and infection control standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate cardiovascular imaging and radiologic equipment properly.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement programs within the cath lab.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of five years' practical experience, preferably in a cardiac catheterization lab.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of cardiology and medicine, including cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common cardiovascular diseases.
  • Proficiency in cath lab procedures such as diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization adhering to clinical and safety protocols.
  • Expertise in radiologic practices including fluoroscopy, radiation safety, and cardiovascular imaging techniques.
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a closely related allied health discipline.
  • Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) certification in Cardiovascular Technology.
  • Ability to interpret basic diagnostic information, follow detailed physician orders, and accurately document procedural details.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving capabilities relevant to acute care situations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to function well in a multidisciplinary team setting focused on ethical and patient-centered healthcare.
