Job overview
A Toyota dealership in Grantham is looking for a Car Sales Executive to join its team. The role focuses on helping customers find the right vehicle and guiding them through the full buying journey.
Working pattern
This is a Monday-to-Saturday position with one day off during the week, plus Sundays on a rota. The usual hours are 8:30 am to 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays, and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sundays.
Key duties
You will be expected to create a strong first impression, build customer confidence, and deliver a service that goes beyond expectations. The role involves understanding customer needs, recommending suitable vehicles and options, and supporting them with finance, contracts, and add-on products.
There is also a focus on generating sales opportunities through calls, enquiries, walk-ins, and online leads, while meeting monthly targets for sales volume, profit, finance penetration, and accessory or add-on product sales. Accurate customer and vehicle data handling is also essential to meet FCA and data protection requirements.
Candidate profile
The employer is open to candidates from car sales, retail management, or sales management backgrounds. Prior experience in the motor trade, automotive sector, or a dealership environment is helpful but not mandatory because training will be provided. A valid UK driving licence is required, along with a track record of hitting and surpassing targets and the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
