Position Overview
We seek a highly analytical and disciplined Capital Markets Analyst specializing in Equity and Derivatives Trading. This role focuses not on conventional trading but on supporting our AI-empowered software platform — FasTrade — through research, validation, and ongoing product enhancement. The candidate will collaborate closely with leadership and the development team to drive market research, strategy validation, and product innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing detailed pre-market and post-market analyses of Indian Equity and Derivatives markets.
- Monitoring option chains, open interest, put-call ratios, implied volatility, Greeks, and market breadth.
- Tracking institutional activities, market sentiment, and relevant domestic & global events.
- Identifying recurring patterns and emerging trading opportunities.
- Documenting concise research reports and market briefs for internal use.
- Researching and validating intraday and positional equity and derivatives trading strategies, including back-testing and forward-testing under various market conditions.
- Comparing entry, exit, and risk management approaches and suggesting improvements to trading discipline and strategy designs.
- Driving product innovation by evaluating FasTrade’s AI-generated trading signals, recommending new analytical features, dashboards, and functional enhancements tailored for professional market participants.
- Preparing detailed functional specifications and liaising with software developers to translate trading expertise into software capabilities.
- Utilizing AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini to assist in structured market research and analysis, developing AI-enhanced workflows and knowledge repositories.
- Conducting thorough post-market trade analysis on individual trades, assessing rationale, execution, and strategy efficacy, and recommending opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting live trading activities as a secondary function after training and within an approved risk framework, including monitoring positions, execution evaluation, and strategy support.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has between two to five years of experience in capital markets, particularly with equities and derivatives, combined with a strong analytical mindset and interest in AI-driven trading technologies. A background in economics, mathematics, finance, or related fields is essential.
Work Location & Travel
Positions are based in Kolkata, Mumbai, or Chennai. Applicants must be willing to work from one of these operational offices and undertake travel as necessary for official assignments.
Educational Eligibility
Candidates holding degrees such as B.A. in Economics, B.Sc. in Mathematics or Mathematics and Computer Applications, B.Com in Accounting and Finance, or qualifications related to Financial Markets are eligible.
