Capital Market Specialist - Global Trading Operations

About the Role

This position involves overseeing the comprehensive administrative and technical processes supporting the trading of long-term financial instruments such as stocks and bonds on global platforms. The role ensures accurate execution, recording, clearing, and settlement of trades across different countries.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of OTC derivatives trade lifecycle including capture, booking, amendments, novations, assignments, and reconciliation.
• Provide operational support across asset classes: FX, Options, Rates, and Credit derivatives.
• Execute trade reconciliation within specified deadlines ensuring accuracy.
• Monitor and analyze reconciliation data and exceptions; escalate discrepancies to management and technical teams.
• Investigate trade discrepancies, determine root causes, and coordinate timely resolutions with key stakeholders.
• Support MiFID regulatory compliance activities including precise and prompt reporting.
• Extract and interpret reports from trade repositories like DTCC, UnaVista, and MDP for business as usual and regulatory reporting.
• Track and manage action items related to trade discrepancies ensuring timely closure.
• Prepare and verify Management Information reports per regulatory and internal standards.
• Maintain and update process documentation, SOPs, internal controls, and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Liaise with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Compliance, Technology, and others to resolve trade processing and reporting issues.
• Address queries from internal and external sources concerning trade operations, reconciliation, and regulatory matters.
• Engage in projects, system modifications, process improvements, and automation initiatives impacting OTC operations and regulatory reporting.
• Consistently deliver assigned tasks with accuracy, adherence to SLAs, and compliance with defined protocols.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Capital Market Global Trading Operations.
• Expertise in foreign exchange (FX), options, interest rates, and credit derivatives.
• Proficient understanding of trade capture and booking processes.
• Hands-on experience managing the entire trade lifecycle.
• Familiarity with trade amendments, novations, and assignments.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field is mandatory.
