Role Overview and Responsibilities

At Intervalve Poonawalla Pvt. Ltd., a prominent and certified valve manufacturing division of the Poonawalla Group, we are seeking a Capital Market Business Analyst based in Pune, India. The role involves comprehensive handling and verification of multiple financial instruments including equities, Portfolio Management Services (PMS), Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), Investment Trusts (InvTs), debt securities, mutual fund units, and derivatives. Key responsibilities encompass the management of trade life cycle operations covering execution through settlement stages (T+1 and T+2), and monitoring market infrastructure entities such as NSDL, CDSL, and CCIL.

The candidate will also be responsible for validating mutual fund net asset values (NAVs) and associated operational procedures, applying risk measures like Value at Risk (VaR), mark-to-market (MTM), duration, and exposure limits. Preparation and upkeep of Treasury Management Information Systems (MIS) and regulatory reporting fall under the scope of this position. Additionally, the role demands trade validation and resolution of exceptions to facilitate seamless settlements, adherence to regulations issued by SEBI, RBI, and FEMA, and management of comprehensive Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation alongside supporting audits. The candidate must perform reconciliations involving trades, cash flows, and portfolio holdings.

Required Skills and Tools

Strong proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities — including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, financial functions like FV, IRR, XIRR, SUMIFS, INDEX MATCH, and OFFSET — is essential for data analysis and report generation. The role also requires leveraging workflow automation software to enhance and streamline business processes.
