Position Overview

This role requires delivering exceptional customer service combined with sales expertise to recommend cannabis products tailored to customer preferences. The budtender is responsible for guiding patrons through product knowledge, facilitating informed choices, and executing sales efficiently to enhance customer satisfaction and store success.

Key Duties

• Provide outstanding service, prioritizing customer experience.
• Achieve or surpass assigned sales and conversion metrics through personalized selling and understanding customer requirements.
• Greet and verify customer identification at entry.
• Assist new clients with completing mandatory state forms and updating their profiles in the system.
• Maintain the cleanliness and stock levels on the sales floor and waiting area during downtime.
• Educate customers regarding cannabis strains, effects, and appropriate selections based on their needs or ailments.
• Manage and fulfill online orders promptly while keeping customer experience central.
• Address and resolve customer complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
• Stay informed about product lines, cannabis strains, brands, and emerging trends.
• Operate and manage the point of sale (POS) system accurately.
• Follow company cash handling protocols, including daily cash management and compliance reporting.
• Assist in product intake, inventory counts, and regular audits.
• Collaborate with management to boost sales and increase customer visits.
• Enforce dispensary policies related to compliance with state/local regulations, security, inventory tracking, dress code, and scheduling.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Dedicated to consistently meeting key performance indicators.
• Skilled in multitasking and prioritization.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Preferred knowledge of state and local cannabis regulations.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years old and able to clear a background check.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain necessary state licenses for the job location.

Location: 195 Albany Turnpike, Canton, CT

Operating Hours: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
