Job description
Position Overview
Take full responsibility for understanding tender documents and calculating cost estimations for infrastructure projects within the overhead line construction sector.
Main Duties
- Independently analyze bidding documents and prepare cost calculations for overhead line infrastructure projects.
- Review and clarify technical aspects during the offer phase.
- Coordinate and hand over information with project managers and site supervisors after winning contracts; assist with post-calculation analyses.
- Conduct price comparisons and contribute to negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Participate in offer negotiations and assist with preparations for project commencement handed off to the project team.
- Obtain material quotations, manage order preparations, place necessary material orders, and follow up on offers.
Candidate Profile
- Completed commercial or technical training in the construction sector, or a degree in industrial engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in construction project costing or management is required.
- Knowledge of construction-specific contracts is advantageous.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with costing software; motivated to innovate by contributing to construction projects.
- Valid class B driving license and willingness to travel occasionally to construction sites across northern and eastern Germany.
- Self-driven and organized individual with excellent German language skills (minimum C1 level).
- Quick learner with strong analytical skills and good numerical aptitude.
